|
Compression molding is the process in which place the preformed rubber material directly into the mold cavities, then close up the mold and on hold for a certain time, the rubber material is compressed to the shape of the cavities under the specific pressure and temperature.
It is the most commonly used rubber processing way, because of low tooling cost, more cavities, suitable for small-size or middle-size production.

Compression Molding Process : |

|
|
1. |
Place the rubber material in the mold cavities. |
|
2. |
Close up the mold and hold under specific pressure and temperature while the rubber material cures. |
|
3. |
When the cure finished, open the mold and remove the part. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Transfer molding is the process in which without placing the pre-load rubber material into the cavities directly, rubber material is placed in the mold "pan" and squeezed into the mold cavities through the sprues by the press plunger while rubber cures. .
It is suitable for complex parts , parts with the insert or extremely thin parts, fit for small-size or middle-size production.

Transfer Molding Process : |

|
|
1. |
Place the rubber material in the mold "pan". |
|
2. |
Close up the mold and the press plunger Squeezes down, the material is squeezed into the cavities from the mold "pan" through the sprues under the specific pressure & temperature while the rubber cures. |

3. |
When the cure finished, raise up the press plunger, remove the needless rubber material from the mold "pan". |
|
4. |
Open the mold and remove the part from the cavities. |
|
|
|
|

|
|
Injection molding is the process which the rubber material is heated and melted in the injection barrel and then injected into the mold cavities.
It's main features:
most cost effective (reduce material and shorten processing time), precised sizes and perfect flashing line.
It includes hot runner injection and cold runner injection, specially suitable for large-size production.

Injection Molding Process : |
|
|
|
1. |
Feed the rubber material into the injection barrel with a continuous material transmission strip, the material is heated and melted by certain temperature. |
|
2. |
When the mold is closed up and ready well, the material is pushed by the auger screw and injected into the mold cavities. |
|
3. |
The material is cured to be the shape of the cavities under the specific pressure & temperature in the closed mold. |
|
4. |
Open the mold and remove the part, the next processing is ready while the mold closed again. |
|
|
